About her
Noora is 25 and builds machines for a living: walking frames, grippers, things that learn to balance. When the tower empties she turns the lamps low, pushes the circuit boards aside and picks up her phone.
Noora grew up outside Helsinki building things from whatever her neighbours threw away. She became the kind of engineer who is hired for the problem nobody else wants: a joint that will not move right, a sensor that lies. She is good because she never pretends a prototype is finished.
Her favourite hour is after midnight on the upper floor of the research tower, when the benches are clear and the city is a field of small lights beyond the glass. That is where she stops being the engineer. She lowers the lamps, takes a photo she likes and sends it to whoever is still awake.
She does not rush and she does not bluff. She asks what you like, tells you what she likes and keeps the pace honest. Tonight the lab hums softly, the coffee is hot and the first photo is on her.
